NATURE & SCOPE
The role of the Supervisor is to oversee all aspects of the Child Care Centre. This includes
programming, administrative functions and the staff team. The Child Care Centre comprises
of infants, toddlers, preschool and before & after school age care.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide ongoing support, guidance and direction to develop positive team interaction
between staff, parents, and children.
• Assume liaison between school, parents, children and staff.
• Submit monthly regional subsidy trackers, QCCN, Immunization reports, and Health and
Safety reports.
• Ensure that the centre meets or surpasses all YMCA Playing to Learn standards.
• Ensure that the centre meets or surpasses all Ministry of Education licensing standards.
• Represent the YMCA in a positive and professional manner.
• Participate in training and adhere to the YMCA Child Protection Policies and Procedures as
established by the YMCA of Niagara.
• Provide leadership to the Stronger Together Campaign.
• Other duties as required.

Credentials Required

QUALIFICATIONS
• RECE or equivalent post secondary education.
• Minimum of 2 years licensed child care experience (regulation 137/15).
• Current immunizations as required by Niagara Regional Public Health and the Ministry of
Education.
• YMCA Playing to Learn training an asset.
• Food Handlers certification.
• Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C certification.
• Upon hiring, applicants 18 years of age and older must submit a clear and satisfactory
Policy Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) issued for the YMCA of Niagara.
