About Us: French Elite Montessori is a newly established bilingual (English-French) Montessori school providing a full French immersion environment. Licensed by the Ministry of Education in Ontario, we are passionate about delivering authentic Montessori education, focused on the holistic development of children aged 30 months to 6 years.

Position Summary: The CASA Montessori Teacher will support the daily operations of a Casa classroom and provide care for preschool children (30 months to 6 years old). The role includes implementing Montessori teaching methods, curriculum activities, and aftercare programs. This full-time contract position runs from September to June, with optional Summer Camps in August. Attendance at pre-planned school events and meetings during occasional weekends and evenings is required.

This role provides an opportunity to join a passionate team in shaping the minds of young children within a caring, bilingual Montessori environment.

Work Schedule:

Hours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday
School Year: September to June (as per school calendar)
July: Off
August: Summer Camps

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the care and safety of children in the classroom and during aftercare hours.
Create a nurturing and supportive classroom setting conducive to learning
Plan and implement teaching activities according to the Montessori curriculum and extracurricular programs.
Maintain a well-managed, harmonious classroom environment.
Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with parents, children, and staff.
Utilize effective time management skills to ensure all teaching duties are fulfilled
Write and maintain accurate children records and reports
Attend training sessions as needed, including Food Handlers Certification and other relevant programs provided by the school.

Credentials Required

Qualifications:

Montessori Casa Teaching Diploma (MACTE/AMI) with a min. of 2 years of experience and/or RECE preferred

Experience with preschool-aged children (30 months to 6 years old).

Commitment to professional development and upholding the Montessori philosophy.

Fluency in spoken French is a strong asset.

Effective communication skills in both oral and written English.

Any additional language would be a added value
